Current Position

Junior Associate - Arbitration Division

Selected experiences in Arbitration:

  1. Representing a construction company in a construction dispute of a greenfield sterile facility under the FIDIC Red Book Conditions against the Indonesian subsidiary of a leading German pharmaceutical company under the rules of the Indonesian National Board of Arbitration (“BANI”);
  2. Representing one of the major lighting companies in a breach of contract dispute against its distributor under the rules of BANI;
  3. Representing one of the major body care and supplement companies in an unlawful act dispute against its distributor under the rules of BANI;
  4. Advising a geothermal energy company in a breach of contract dispute against the holder of management rights under the rules of BANI;
  5. Representing the co-defendants in the Civil Dispute No. 674 regarding the management rights of BANI at the South Jakarta District Court.

 In Corporate Matters:

  1. Advising and representing a shipbuilding company in participating in a ship (tanker/barge) procurement from the Ministry of Transportation;
  2. Advising and representing a shipbuilding company in participating in a passenger boat procurement from the Indonesian Navy;
  3. Advising a local company in establishing a shipbuilding company related to the business permits or licenses;
  4. Member of the staff at a foreign investment bank who handled the loan or credit legal documents and drafting the loan agreements for its customers;
  5. Member of the staff who handled the drafting of the operation business agreements at the finance division.

 As an Arbitrator Assistant:

  1. Assisting Prof. Frans Winarta as co-arbitrator in a dispute over the supply of foreign and local labour between Indonesian companies in the petroleum mining business field under the rules of BANI;
  2. Assisting Prof. Frans Winarta as the Chairman in a dispute over a highway construction project between an Indonesian company and a state-owned enterprise under the rules of BANI;
  3. Assisting Prof. Frans Winarta as co-arbitrator in a dispute over the sale and purchase of a drilling rig in the geothermal mining business field under the rules of BANI;
  4. Assisting Prof. Frans Winarta as co-arbitrator in a dispute over a building construction at Simatupang, Jakarta between local companies under the rules of BANI;
  5. Assisting Prof. Frans Winarta as co-arbitrator in a construction dispute over a hotel at Kuta, Bali between local companies under the rules of BANI;
  6. Assisting Prof. Frans Winarta as co-arbitrator in a dispute over the management of a coal terminal under the rules of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (“UNCITRAL”) 1976;
  7. Assisting Prof. Frans Winarta as co-arbitrator in a dispute over the establishment of an oil storage between Indonesian and foreign companies under the rules of the International Chamber of Commerce (“ICC”).
  8. Assisting Prof. Frans Winarta as co-arbitrator in a dispute over a feasibility study on hydroelectric areas between Indonesian and foreign companies under the rules of the ICC.
